Elena Bass has joined IBERIABANK as senior vice president, business banking group manager for the Southeast Florida market, based in Fort Lauderdale. She previously was senior vice president, business banking sales executive with Regions Bank. Bass has an MBA from the University of Alabama and an undergraduate degree from Auburn University.
Carolina B. Menendez has been named senior vice president for Sabadell Bank & Trust at Sabadell United Bank. Previously she was vice president and professional banker for The Northern Trust Company in Coral Gables. Menendez has a bachelor’s of business administration in international finance and marketing from the University of Miami.
BankUnited announced it has hired three people in its corporate banking division:
▪ Percy Aguila Jr. has been named senior vice president, serving as a corporate banking senior lender and relationship manager. He previously was at Raymond James & Associates in Coral Gables. Aguila has a bachelor’s from The George Washington University and a master’s from New York University.
▪ Jennifer Garcia-Barbon has been named vice president for corporate banking. She previously was at Wells Fargo in Miami, where she most recently was senior business banking relationship manager. Garcia-Barbon holds several degrees, including an executive master of science in taxation and an MBA from Florida International University.
▪ Valentina Londono has been named vice president and portfolio manager in the corporate banking division. She most recently was vice president and credit portfolio advisor at Northern Trust in Miami. Londono has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in international business from Florida International University.
Lourdes Camps has been named chief operating officer at Hialeah Hospital. Previously she was chief nursing officer. Camps has a bachelor’s from Florida International University and a master’s in health service administration from Nova Southeastern University.
Michael J. Kurzman has been named partner at Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman. He has a focus in construction litigation. Previously he was at Siegfried Rivera Hyman Lerner De La Torre Mars & Sobel. Kurzman has a bachelor’s from the University of Florida and a J.D. from the University of Miami.
Katalina Cruz has been named chief operating officer at KW Property Management & Consulting, based in Miami. She previously was chief financial officer. Cruz, a CPA, has a bachelor’s in accounting and an MBA from Florida International University.
Erika Stilwell has been named vice president of asset management at Deerfield Beach-based Konover South, LLC. She formerly was vice president of asset management for RAM Realty Services. Stilwell has a bachelor’s and an MBA from the University of Denver.
Elizabeth Truong has been named chief operating officer, chief investment officer and executive vice president of The Altman Companies, Boca Raton. Previously she was chief investment officer and senior managing director for Landmark Apartment Trust. Truong has a BBA from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an MBA from Babson College.
