AT&T launched its ultra-fast Internet service with speeds up to 1 gigabit per second to homes, apartments and small businesses in parts of Coral Springs, North Miami, Tamarac and surrounding communities, the company announced on Tuesday.
AT&T GigaPower has already been launched in parts of Coconut Creek, Cooper City, Coral Gables, Davie, Delray Beach, Doral, Ft. Lauderdale, Hialeah, Hollywood, Homestead, Miami, Miami Gardens, Miami Lakes, Miramar, Oakland Park, Parkland, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Pompano Beach, West Delray (unincorporated) and surrounding communities. “We’ve seen strong demand for AT&T GigaPower since its launch in South Florida last summer,” said Joe York, president of AT&T Florida.
Internet speeds up to 1 gigabit per second over an all-fiber network enable a person to download 25 songs in a second, a TV show in 3 seconds orn HD movie in less than 36 seconds. the 1-gig service starts at $110 a month, or speeds up to 300Mbps is $80 a month.
