AT&T has expanded 4G LTE coverage in Miami with the activation of two more mobile Internet cell sites, now totalling 15 new sites in Miami-Dade County since January, and a new site in Boca Raton.

The new Miami sites are expanding 4G LTE coverage and capacity along Biscayne Boulevard and Federal Highway near Biscayne and 50th Street, and along N. Miami Avenue and N.W. 3rd Avenue in the downtown business district. The new Boca Raton site is in the residential area between S.W. 18th Street and Camino Real and Powerline Road and S. Military Trail.

The new cell sites are a part of AT&T’s ongoing 4G LTE rollout in South Florida to offer faster mobile Internet speeds — up to 10 times faster than 3G, AT&T said. So far this year, the company has activated 35 new sites in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties.
