Golfsmith International said it has expanded its presence in South Florida with a new Golfsmith store at 12151 Pines Blvd. in Pembroke Pines. Three days of opening festivities will begin on Thursday.

The new 34,000 square foot store features a large selection of the best brands in golf, and a total of seven hitting bays, including four state-of-the-art club fitting studios with simulators that enable customers to test drive the latest clubs with advice and assistance from certified Golfsmith Master Club Fitters, the company said.

The store also has a huge indoor putting green, technology bar with GPS units and other high-tech gadgets, and a GolfTEC performance improvement center with PGA teaching professionals.

Based in Austin, Texas, Golfsmith says it is the world’s largest specialty golf retailer, operating Golfsmith stores in the United States and Golf Town stores in Canada. In South Florida, Golfsmith operates stores in Hollywood, Boca Raton, and is opening a new store in Palm Beach Gardens.
