A new bistro is bringing the tastes of Belgium to downtown Miami.
Bistro BE, owned by Belgian Emmanuel Verschueren, will open in mid-July, offering Belgian cuisine that merges the “sophistication and technique of classical French cuisine” with “some of the boldness you’d find in Germany.”
Verschueren has brought in Executive Chef Frederik Appelt from Belgium, who will help him execute a diverse menu of authentic Belgian dishes (mussels, frites and waffles, both savory and sweet) as well as contemporary spins on the country’s classics, the restaurant said. Verschueren will also curate the beer selection, featuring more than 50 varieties available by the bottle, as well as eight options on tap. Wine will also be offered.
Bistro BE, at 1111 SW 1st Ave., in downtown Miami, said it will offer lunch and dinner daily, with brunch expected in the future.
