Buy, Sell, Stay?

Whether you’re actively in the market or just considering a purchase or sale, the Miami Herald’s residential real estate boot camp on Thursday has the information you need to make this important investment decision.

Buy, Sell, Stay? will bring together experts on the home-buying market, mortgage requirements, appraisals and insurance to explain the latest twists in the Miami real estate market and answer questions on how to buy or sell a home in South Florida without losing your shirt.

Speakers will include residential real estate experts Ron Shuffield, President & EO of EWM Realty, and Peter Zalewski, Miami Herald columnist and founder of Condo Vultures. Also offering advice are Kitsia Gaines, longtime State Farm insurance agent; Liza Mendez, broker/owner of Pedro Realty and chair of the Miami Association of Realtors; Jaime V. Rodriguez, loan originator with MVP; Philip G. Spool, ASA, state-certified general real estate appraiser; and Chuck Walton, president and founder of the Walton Inspection Group, a registered and licensed home and commercial inspection firm.

The event -- hosted by Miami Herald business editors Jane Wooldridge and Dave Wilson -- will take place from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, at the Miami Herald Media Co. headquarters in Doral, 3511 NW 91 Ave., 33172.

The cost is $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Seating is limited. To register visit http://hrld.us/seminar
