A deputy's quick reaction to the sound of gunshots led to two arrests in Weston. At 5:32 p.m. April 14, a sheriff's deputy heard shots coming from the area of Southwest 26th Street and U.S. 27.

Thieves are preying on unlocked cars in Weston. A burglar entered a 2000 Toyota Sienna in the 700 block of Heritage Drive between 11 p.m. April 25 and noon April 26 and stole a Global Positioning System receiver valued at $350.
