Escort service rips off customer in Hollywood
A man thought he was ordering female companionship until a gun was pressed against his head at a Hollywood hotel.
A 28-year-old man from Doral was staying at the Day's Inn, 2601 N. 29th Ave., when he called an escort service.
Between 5:30 and 5:35 a.m. Oct. 8 two women in their early 20s appeared at his door and told him he would have to pay $250 up front.
He told police he gave them the money, which they handed over to a man who was standing outside the door.
The victim told police the man left with his money and the two women appeared to be ``very nervous and possibly under the influence of an unknown substance.''
They suddenly decided to leave the room and he followed them to get his money back. He saw them in the parking lot standing next to a silver Honda Accord with the man who had taken his money.
He approached them and said that all he wanted was to get his money back. The man pulled out a Glock semi-automatic pistol, racked up a round, pressed it against the victim's head and said he wasn't getting anything back.
The car drove away and the man called the police from the lobby.
He said he was no longer interested in getting his money back and told police he wanted to prevent this from happening to anyone else.
