POLICE REPORT
Robber holds up phone store in Hollywood
A 20-year-old clerk at the Metro PCS store, 6381 Sheridan St. in Hollywood, told police she was robbed as she was closing about 6:25 p.m. Sept. 13.
She had set the alarm and closed the door and was about to lock it when a man approached her. She said he was carrying an umbrella and pulling a ski mask over his face.
He stuck a gun in her face and said, ``You know what this is? Open the door and shut off the alarm.'' She opened the door and deactivated the alarm. ``Open the safe or I'll kill you,'' the robber said. ``You've got two minutes.''
With the robber right behind her, she retrieved the store keys from the counter, unlocked the office, found the safe key and opened the safe. The robber took all the cash in the safe and ran out through the front door.
He got into the passenger seat of a Honda already occupied by two men. She said there was no tag on the car.

Smash and grab: The video surveillance at Brand International Perfumes, 121 NE Third St., covers the parking lot. It showed a woman as she parked a Honda Accord in the lot at 4 p.m. Sept. 9, activated the anti-theft device and walked into the store. It also recorded a dark-colored Nissan that pulled up to the passenger side of the Honda at 4:09 p.m. A man exited the rear door, broke the passenger window of the Honda and took a purse from the seat. The purse contained $100, a driver's license, debit/credit cards and other items.
Convenience store robbed: The owner of ZMarket, 208 Foster Rd., told police he closed the business about 11 p.m. Sept. 8. When he returned at 9:45 a.m. Sept. 9, the front window was smashed and six cartons of Newports, seven packages of Dutch Masters, a box of Swisher Sweets and $300 were missing. The property loss was $954. The burglar also pried the window security bars and broke a sink, causing damage estimated at $1,000.
Air raid: The owner of a home listed for rent in the 500 block of Northwest Second Street installed a Carrier air conditioning unit in a window. HOLLYWOOD
Burglar flees: About 7:05 p.m. Sept. 11 a woman returned to her home in the 1500 block of Fletcher Street and called for her dog. The dog, which usually comes to her, didn't this time because it was locked in the bathroom she usually kept open. Then she noticed a back window was open. As she was calling police she saw a man walking away from the home. Several rooms were disturbed but nothing was taken.
Burglary foiled: A 57-year-old woman was asleep in the bedroom of her home in the 6100 block of Fletcher Street when she was awakened about 1:55 p.m. Sept. 7 by the sound of someone ``moving around'' in another bedroom. As she walked to the door to investigate she saw a man wearing a white shirt and gray shorts as he slammed the door shut. Then he placed a file cabinet against the door to prevent her from opening it. The burglar and a second man left the home through the window they had opened to get in. The woman said she saw them running through her backyard but wasn't sure what they had stolen.
PEMBROKE PINES
A 29-year-old man told police he arrived at his Pembroke Pines home in the 8300 block of Southwest Fifth Street in his 2007 Nissan Sentra about 8:45 p.m. Aug. 27.
