A Miami Marine Stadium Marina employee has been arrested for overcharging boats for fuel, police said Friday.
Pedro Rey, 42, was charged with organized fraud, grand theft and official misconduct.
Police say Rey, an employee at the city-run marina for two years, admitted to underfueling boats, then overbilling companies and altering daily logs on six occasions in March and May.
In total, he stole at least $2,651.67, according to Miami internal affairs Detective Norma Farmer's arrest report.
Police believe he kept extra fuel for himself, selling it on the side.
Rey was arrested Thursday and released from jail on bond Friday.
