Deputies checking on a 4-year-old boy at a Tampa Bay area home instead reported finding four dead adults nearby.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office reports that investigators are searching for Ismael Tristan Santisteban and his father, 28-year-old Adam Matos. The boy was last seen Aug. 28 at the Hudson home. Deputies had reportedly gone to the house that day on a domestic call involving Matos.
When deputies went to the house Thursday afternoon to check on the boy, officials say no one appeared to be home. But after noticing a bad smell, deputies walked down the street toward birds circling in the air. That's where they found the bodies.
Officials say the missing child and the bodies appear to be connected, but the sheriff's office wasn't immediately naming the victims or their relationship to Santisteban or Matos.
