Nine suspected immigrants are in custody after coming ashore on the north end of Palm Beach Tuesday morning, police spokesman Fred Hess said.
A passerby alerted authorities to a boat ashore in the 400 block of North County Road at 7:05 a.m., Hess said. Officers searching the area have found nine people and continue their search with the help of a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s helicopter. No one is reported injured.
