2 killed in turnpike crash in Homestead

Two people were killed Thursday night in a rollover crash on Florida's Turnpike in Homestead.
A child and a man were airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. They were ejected through the window, according to reports.
The driver and front-seat passenger were killed.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on the turnpike near 216th Street when the car veered off the road, crashed into a fence and landed upside down in a ditch, according to Miami Herald news partner CBS4.
The stretch of turnpike has reopened for Friday's morning commuters.
