Police in Chester County praised the actions of a number of citizens who came to the aid of a driver who was trapped under his burning car after crashing into the parking lot of an elementary school on March 14. Police said that faculty members of the Saints Simon and Jude School used fire extinguishers to stop the fire from spreading, while a number of other people helped police officers to flip the vehicle, freeing the driver. The car was said to have crashed into a number of parked cars while school was in session. One of the parked vehicles that was hit struck the school building in turn. The driver was taken to hospital. No students or faculty members were reported injured. This footage shows scenes of the rescue, taken from the dashcam of a police car at the scene.
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fl., in a YouTube video announces the launch of a new Facebook page to talk directly with Venezuelans inside the country and abroad. The new page will be a way for Venezuelans to circumvent state-controlled media. "The humanitarian crisis in Venezuela is entirely a product of the Maduro regime's incompetence and corruption," Rubio said.

Coral Springs police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery which occurred on March 13, 2018, t the Mobil Gas station located at 10739 West Atlantic Boulevard in the City of Coral Springs. The suspect entered the gas station and robbed the clerk at gunpoint. He is described as a 5’7” to 5’9”, 160 to 170 pounds in his low to mid-twenties. The Miami Police Department’s Robbery Unit released surveillance video showing an armed robbery that took place on March 18, 2018 at the Subway restaurant located on 1498 N.W. 54 Street at approximately 5:50p.m. According to detectives, an employee of the business was serving the last customer of the day before closing when the suspect entered and pointed a silver colored handgun at the victim demanding all of the money from inside of the register.

A man suspected of stealing a vehicle that was left running with a sleeping baby inside made a quick stop at a nearby gas station, where he left the infant in its car seat with a clerk, saying “Take the baby! Take the baby!” The man fled from the gas station after leaving the child. Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office officials say they’re still searching for the man but the infant is safe. Deputies notified the mother, who arrived about 30 minutes later. Source: AP
