Why do some channels have ads in Spanish?

I have sent e-mails to Comcast's corporate headquarters, and talked to customer service, with no results.

Problem: While watching English channels on Comcast cable, they show Spanish commercials during breaks of live American baseball games. They show these foreign commercials on many of their English channels.

I don't have anything against Spanish-speaking people, but I don't want to see, and listen to a language I don't understand, in America. There are plenty of Spanish channels on the TV line-up, so put them where they belong.

Watching soccer matches in English

I am in total agreement with your reader who complained about the world soccer matches being televised in Spanish instead of English.

I am also disgusted with the reason given for this by Comcast. They say it is because the majority of their viewers are Spanish speakers. Excuse me, but what about the British, the Germans, the Italians, the Poles, the French, the rest of the Europeans and Brazilians living in South Florida and who are all crazy about soccer -- do they not count?

Last night I sat with five fervid soccer fans discussing the championships. Incidently, we were from England, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil and America, and not a word of Spanish was spoken.
