On Nov. 18 and on Dec. 11, Legal Aid Society/Put Something Back and the Bankruptcy Bar Association are offering a free bankruptcy clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m, at the Bankruptcy Courthouse in downtown Miami, 51 S.W. 1st Ave., Courtroom 1410.

You cannot bring a cellphone or other electronic device to this courthouse or you will not be allowed entry.

At the clinic, there will be a half-hour presentation outlining procedures for filing for bankruptcy. That will be followed by a question-and-answer session. Participants will be able to meet with a bankruptcy attorney to discuss their cases and get advice on general bankruptcy matters.
