At Byron Avenue and 71st Street in Miami Beach, across from the parking space of the post office, there is a big hole on the road. Somebody can have an accident, especially at night. It is right there at the side where there are cars parked.

A.We contacted Nannette Rodriguez, spokeswoman for the city of Miami Beach, and she thanked you for bringing it to the city's attention.

She said Public Works crews went out there to assess the damage and placed a barricade at the damaged pavement that was found in a parking lane.

She said asphalt crews would be out the next morning to make the repair.

Service requests can be reported directly to the city of Miami Beach online at www.miamibeachfl.gov or by telephone at 305-604-CITY. ``A new online service system will be implemented next month that will provide more options and information than the current system,'' she said.
