Free help by phone with legal questions

Want to ask a lawyer a question -- for free?

LegalLine, a toll-free help line answering a broad range of legal questions, will be held by the Dade County Bar Association 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Callers can phone 866-596-0399 and anonymously ask their question in English or Spanish. Each three-hour help line is staffed by more than a dozen volunteer attorneys who answer basic questions across a wide spectrum of legal specialties, including family, probate, criminal, real estate, condo, landlord-tenant, business and immigration law -- and refer callers to other service organizations, as appropriate.

For more information about LegalLine, which is held on the first Wednesday of the month, except holidays, visit: http://www.dadecountybar.org/forms/legalline.php.
