Mattress sets pose fire hazard

Miami-based Loyal Bedding is recalling about 2,700 mattress sets. The sets fail to meet mandatory federal open flame standards for mattresses, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

No incidents or injuries have been reported to date.

The recall involves all Loyal Bedding mattress sets, sold in twin, full, queen and king sizes.

The mattress sets were sold by mattress retailers throughout Puerto Rico from July 2007 through February 2009 for between $165 and $300.

Consumers should contact distributor Guaynabo Industrial for a store credit or a refund.

Call Guaynabo at 877-888-2552 or visit its website at www.guaynaboindustrial.com.
