About the Honduras project

This story on the Honduran children who work in garbage dumps is the second installment of a Miami Herald series on the myriad problems facing children in Latin America and the Caribbean. The first focused on orphans in Haiti.

Future stories in the Children of the Americas series will focus on Argentine kids thrown into the streets by the country's economic collapse, and Guatemala's malnourished children.
