Since its inception, 27th Avenue has existed as a tender point between hope and history. Also known as 'Unity Blvd,' the street was meant to represent togetherness. Drive it today, and you will see 17.5 miles of fragmented neighborhoods functioning by themselves some proud, some struggling -- each considering Unity Boulevard central to their individual identity.
