LAURIE MCGENNIS / FOR THE MIAMI HERALD
Jacob McGennis was drawn to the San Diego Zoo.

As soon as the plane's wheels met the runway and I looked out the window, I knew this would be the best vacation ever! First we went to our hotel; we were staying on the 25th floor! What a view! The next day we went to the San Diego Zoo, one of the biggest and most beautiful zoos in the world! We saw parrots, monkeys, polar bears and koalas! Then we went to Balboa Park and the Aerospace and Auto Museums which are located there. The following day we went to sunny Pacific Beach and waded in the surf of the Pacific Ocean, and to Seaport Village, right on San Diego Bay. On our last day there, we walked past the Midway, a famous aircraft carrier, and went to a pool at our hotel that was so big it seemed to go on forever! It even had waterfalls! I can't wait to go back to the coolest place ever, San Diego!
