CHEECA LODGE PLANS DECEMBER REOPENING

The Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada has announced plans to reopen on Dec. 15 after construction of a new Main Lodge building. The resort was closed after a fire on Dec. 31. For more information, visit www.cheeca.com.

SPIRIT ADDS ANOTHER COLOMBIA ROUTE

Spirit Airlines has announced it will begin nonstop flights in November between Fort Lauderdale and Armenia, Colombia, a city in the coffee-growing Quindio region.

The airline already serves three other cities in Colombia -- Cartagena, Medellin, and Bogota.
