The royal treatment

Chef Darren McGrady, who spent 15 years cooking for the royals at Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace, is the star attraction at this year's Epicurean Escape at the Grand Lido Negril Resort & Spa. Organized with Food & Wine magazine, the June 24-28 festival promises plenty of celebrity chefs, cooking demonstrations, pastry classes and tasting seminars. The week culminates with an eight-course grand gala dinner, with signature dishes from the guest chefs.

WISCONSIN

Crime wave

Crews from the forthcoming movie Public Enemies spent more than three weeks in Oshkosh a year ago doing setup and filming, drawing huge crowds hoping to glimpse the movie's star, Johnny Depp. Now, the Oshkosh Public Museum plans to mark the film's July 1 opening and educate visitors on Depression-era crime with an exhibit called The Era of Public Enemies: A Wave of Crime in a Troubled Time. Artifacts will include the death mask of John Dillinger, the bank robber Depp portrays in the movie. Also included is a vintage Thompson submachine gun, and an art deco back bar from a local yacht club.

TAMPA

Leapin' Lizards

After three years in other venues, the Florida International Reptile Show returns to its original home June 27-28 at Tampa's Florida State Fairground. Vendors offer reptile pets, supplies, feeders, cages and merchandise.

NEW YORK

The Wright Stuff

The Guggenheim Museum has launched a yearlong celebration marking the 50th anniversary of its landmark building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright with the exhibition Frank Lloyd Wright: From Within Outward. Also planned throughout the year are major exhibitions and programming, including the premiere of a new documentary about the museum, a live contemporary music series and a free day on Oct. 21, the date on which the museum opened its doors 50 years ago. Other festivities: the Museum Mile Festival in June and a light tribute on the Empire State Building in October.

Details: The Wright exhibit runs through Aug. 23. Admission is $18 for adults, $15 students/seniors, children under 12 free. The museum is closed on Thursdays.
