The Boathouse restaurant opened Monday on the waterfront at Downtown Disney, which is in the course of being remade into Disney Springs. The Boathouse, with an upscale menu of steak, chops, seafood and a raw bar, has a nautical theme, with dream boats from the 1930s-1950s on display. It’s on the waterfront, the first of several new restaurants in what is now called The Landing but used to be Pleasure Island. Other attractions: a ride in a water taxi or an Amphicar that drives on land and floats in the water.
Never miss a local story.
