Cords and cables will come and go, but they will always get tangled up individually or en mass. Not if you have the new Recoil Winders, little spring-loaded double disks that look like elongated yoyo’s, but are seriously engaged in managing the myriad wires that go with our electronic devices. All you have to do is fold a cable in half, loop the folded end over the little built-in hook between the rewinder’s two disks, and give a little tug. When you pull back, the spring-loaded mechanism recoils automatically, with the cord nicely wound between the disks. Pulling out the cord is just as easy. The brightly colored plastic organizers come in three sizes: small, for diminutive earbuds without microphones; medium, for USB cords, headphones and phone charger cables up to 4 feet long; and large, for thicker cords for laptops, tablets, and gaming devices. The rewinders are sold individually in blue, black, green, red, or white. Or, get a combo pack of three rewinders that come with a stand they all pop into in an orderly row. The SML Combo Pack provides one rewinder in each size. The MML Combo Pack (my preference) provides two medium and one large rewinder. All of life’s issues should untangle so simply.
Recoil Winders in small, medium or large are $9.99 apiece; Combo packs of 3 rewinders with stand in SML or MML are $27.99 apiece, at www.recoilwinders.com. Cords are not included.
