ALEXIA FODERE / FOR THE MIAMI HERALD
Fekkai All-Day Hair Plump; $95 for 3.4 fl. oz.
The Miami Herald has composed a panel of readers to try products for face, body and hair. Here are their opinions:
Product: Fekkai All-Day Hair Plump
Contains: ``Hyaluronate and marine peptides''
Claims: This smoothing serum provides . . . thicker, stronger hair all day long.
Where to get it: Sephora, Nordstrom
Cost: $95 for 3.4 fl. oz.
Times tested: Three times
Hate it!
Name: Elyse Targ
Age: 56
Residence: Pinecrest
Opinion: Hate it!
Why: This product does not give my hair volume; the only thing it does is make it very soft -- which is not what I want. It also feels greasy.
Name: Helen Smith
Age: 68
Residence: Miami
Opinion: Hate it!
Why: This product does not make my fine hair thicker or stronger. If anything, it leaves it more limp.
Name: Rosalie Weiss
Age: 69
Residence: Fort Lauderdale
Opinion: Hate it!
Why: My hair is very short and fine. This product might be better for longer, damaged hair that needs body and is blow-dried since it must be used on wet hair. I saw no effect.
Name: Holly Towle
Age: 26
Residence: North Miami
Opinion: It's OK
Why: It's easy to use and makes your hair smell good. It does add body.
Name: Renee Ilhardt
Age: 31
Residence: Miami
Opinion: Love it!
Why: This definitely makes my hair thicker, with more body. My hair usually appears limp at the end of the day, but not anymore.
