CAPSULE REVIEWS

AMANCIO: TWO FACES ON A TOMBSTONE(Unrated) * * *

This well-made documentary comes with a message. It's about a 22-year-old female impersonator found stabbed to death four years ago in the Colorado River. The one-hour film follows Arizona gay activist Michael Baughman and his quest to bring Amancio Corrales' killer to justice. The film won an audience favorite award when it was screened last spring at the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.

Director Tom Murray of Sarasota and producer Bruce Presley of Fort Lauderdale will attend the screening and take questions from the audience.

Playing at: 5 p.m. Friday at Cinema Paradiso

AUDIENCE WITH THE QUEENS (Unrated) * * ½

Made in Key West by straight, first-time filmmaker Robbie Hopcraft, Audience with the Queens follows the Duval Street adventures of six working girls at the 801 Bourbon Bar: drag queens RV Beaumont, Destiny (who died last year during the film shooting), Gugi, Samantha, Gassy Winds and star Sushi, who's known nationally for dropping in a giant red shoe during Anderson Cooper's annual New Year's Eve special on CNN. The 30-minute film is a proposed pilot for a TV series.

Playing at: 9:15 p.m. Friday at Cinema Paradiso.
