International Mango Festival

The 17th annual event with more than 200 varieties of mango trees and fruits on display and for sale. Features mango lectures, chefs' cooking demos, tastings, food court, auction, ''mango medics'' who will check ailing specimens, merchandise and botanical art. Kids' activities include session on making mango leaf puppets and art projects, face painting and exploring the origins of various mango varieties and the stories about them; 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday to July 12; Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Rd., Coral Gables; $20, $15 seniors 65 and older, $10 kids 6-17, free for members and kids 5 and younger. Vizcaya Museum & Gardens Cool Summer Savings: Miami-Dade residents can buy one admission and get a second pass for free. Must show proof of residency.
