Los Angeles Times Service
Actor David Hasselhoff has listed his longtime family home in L.A.'s Encino neighborhood at $4,195,000.
The 8,947-square-foot Southern Colonial, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms, sits on nearly 1 ½ acres entered through double gates.
A tree-lined drive leads to the two-story home, which has a two-story great room with soaring ceilings looking out on the backyard and a boulder-lined pool with spa. There is a formal dining room, a screening room, two guesthouses and a tennis court.
The property is co-owned by his ex-wife, actress Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, and was purchased in 1996. The Hasselhoffs raised their children in the house, which has a mix of family and entertaining space.
MALOOF SELLS HOME
FOR $4 MILLION
Maloof Cos. President Joe Maloof has sold his Brentwood house for $4 million.
White trim, fencing and dormer windows give the two-story gated home a traditional look, while hardwood floors, wainscoting and crown moldings continue the theme indoors. There are five bedroom suites, each with a walk-in closet and balcony, and 5 ½ bathrooms in 6,100 square feet.
The main entry hall has a dramatic black-and-white floor, high ceilings and a sweeping staircase lined with windows. An oval-shaped saltwater pool sits in the lushly landscaped backyard.
The property in one of L.A.'s toniest neighborhoods came on the MLS in October at $4,995,000.
Maloof, 53, purchased the home newly built in 2004 for $4.75 million, public records show. PRODUCERS LISTING
HOLLYWOOD HILLS HOME
Noreen Halpern, executive producer of HBO's Hung, and her husband, Kevin Murphy, the Emmy-winning writer and producer of Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical, have listed their Hollywood Hills home at $1,195,000.
The English country-style home, built in 1927, has four bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,736 square feet. There are coved ceilings, small-pane windows and two fireplaces. A walled brick courtyard, spa and mature fruit trees are among the outdoor features.
The couple bought the house in 2004, a few months before they were married.
``It was the first house we both fell in love with,'' Murphy said. ``It looks like a woodland cottage from the street, but once you get closer, it's an enormous multilevel home with a canyon view and a double lot.''
They are selling because they bought a larger home to accommodate their growing family. The pair purchased bestselling biographer J. Randy Taraborrelli's 4,557-square-foot Spanish-style compound in May for $3.1 million.
