What to do in the garden in June

Fertilize: Fertilize all plantings this month. Milorganite is good for summer lawns. Palm fertilizer is good for your trees, shrubs, palms, etc.
Propagate: This is probably one of the best months to propagate plants. Cuttings work very well, as do air layering and grafting.
Pests: Pests are very active now that plants are in full growth with the needed rains. Mildew and black spot can be a problem. Water in the morning to avoid these diseases.
Plant: You can plant almost anything now with success. Mother Nature will often provide sufficient water so you do not have to worry about irrigating plants after installation.
