Justin Bieber, the beleaguered pop star, sold his house in a gated community in Calabasas for $7.2 million to reality TV personality Khloe Kardashian.
The location puts Kardashian in proximity to sister Kourtney Kardashian should either need to borrow a cup of sugar. Kourtney bought the nearby home of retired pro football player Keyshawn Johnson this spring.
Khloe Kardashian’s new house, built in 2005 and set on 1.3 acres, was not listed for sale. Tax records show it has at least six bedrooms and 9,214 square feet of living space. That’s a move up from the 8,000-square-foot Tarzana digs she previously shared with former Laker Lamar Odom.
Earlier marketing materials for the house, which was once home to actor Eddie Murphy’s ex, Nicole Murphy, describe it as Spanish in style with hand-painted tiles, a courtyard, a 200-bottle wine cellar, six fireplaces, an elevator and two three-car garages. There’s a swimming pool with a spa, a barbecue and a one-bedroom, one-bathroom casita with a kitchen.
Bieber, 20, bought the property two years ago for $6.5 million.
After run-ins with the police this year in Miami and Calabasas, the pop star once again drew negative publicity this month when videos surfaced of him using racist slurs. He has issued an apology.
The teen idol has released an album annually for the last four years. Among his hits are Boyfriend, Beauty and a Beat and As Long as You Love Me.
A HOME WITH BIGGER BANG
Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and her husband, Ryan Sweeting, have sold their home in Sherman Oaks for $2.565 million.
The Tuscan-inspired house was built a decade ago. Designed for indoor-outdoor living and entertaining, it features an outdoor living room and fireplace, an outdoor kitchen with an eat-at bar, a swimming pool and a spa.
The 5,233 square feet of living space includes a family room, five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Stone fireplaces and interior arches are among architectural details. The dressing room has extensive shoe racks, a shampoo/hair station with a salon bowl and two balconies.
Cuoco-Sweeting, 28, stars in The Big Bang Theory. She also starred in the 2014 comic film Authors Anonymous and will be in The Wedding Ringer next year.
Sweeting, 26, is a professional tennis player. The two were married in December.
They sold because they bought the Tarzana home of former Laker Lamar Odom and television personality Khloe Kardashian this year for $5.499 million.
SEEKING THE COUNTRY LIFE
Moon Bloodgood of Falling Skies is selling her Venice home, which was listed at $2.125 million.
Built in 1951, the eclectic residence has been remodeled to have an open floor plan. A central skylight brings sunshine into the heart of the 2,003-square-foot home, which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. A wood-burning stove, a claw-foot tub and a dual-head shower are among features in the master suite.
The yard includes front and back decks and a hot tub.
When Bloodgood isn’t mopping up after an alien invasion on the sci-fi series, the 38-year-old actress/model turns her talents to the big screen. Her credits include The Power of Few (2013), The Sessions (2012) and Conception (2011).
She bought the property in 2009 for $845,000, public records show.
“My family and I loved Venice but we wanted some land, a pool and possibly a goat — not in that particular order,” Bloodgood said. “So off to the countryside we go.”
A HANGOVER FROM BACHELOR DAYS
Recently married Justin Bartha of The Hangover films listed his bachelor pad for sale in Hollywood Hills West at $1.375 million, and in slightly more than three weeks it was in escrow.
The vintage Spanish-style house of 1,416 square feet sits behind walls and gates with video surveillance. Vaulted beamed ceilings, dining and living rooms, a family room, a breakfast bar, two bedrooms and two bathrooms are among the features.
The 7,500-square-foot lot has a swimming pool, a hot tub and a covered patio.
Bartha, 35, starred in the sitcom The New Normal (2012-13). He also starred in the National Treasure films. He was married in January to personal trainer Lia Smith.
The actor bought the property in 2007 for $1.25 million, public records show.
