A gift card for health insurance? It now exists, on sale at Winn-Dixie or Save-Rite stores to help the recipient buy a policy from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida.
The Gift of Health Card costs $59 and can be redeemed to pay for the first $59 of Blue Cross policies available in Florida, a company spokeswoman said Wednesday. Buyers can use the cards to start their own policies or give it to others to start a policy for them.
The insurer also is offering $19 FamilyBlue cards that give discounts on care from doctors, dentists and eye specialists.
