Q. I am a woman of color. For the past several years I have been noticing that I look tired and have bags under my eyes. Do you think it would be safe for me to have facial surgery or am I more likely to scar because of my skin tone?
Q. Recently, I had a consult with a surgeon for breast augmentation. I asked if he could do it endoscopically through my armpit and he said that he didn't recommend that approach because it could interfere with the detection and treatment of breast cancer. Is that true?

Q. I just came back from a reunion with my girlfriends. There was one friend of mine that looked particularly great. Her skin had no apparent wrinkles. When I asked her what surgery she had, she said that she just started to shave -- yes shave! What's that about? Is she telling the truth?
Q: I am considering having cosmetic surgery and I started wondering: What would happen if I were unhappy with the results? Would I have to pay for the surgery again? How about the hospital and the anesthesiologist? And what would happen if I had a complication after surgery? Would my insurance cover the costs of hospitalization?
Q. I have one ear that sticks out more than the other ear. Is it possible to only correct the ear that is bothering me?
