Desperation Dinners Recipe: Amazing Steaks

AMAZING STEAKS

Start to finish: 20 minutes.

• 4 boneless steaks of choice, such as rib-eye or strip steaks (6 to 8 ounces each)

• 3 tablespoons butter

• 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Place steaks in a single layer in a baking pan with at least 1-inch sides. Prick both sides of the meat with a fork several times.

Place butter and Worcestershire sauce in a 2-cup or larger glass measure, cover with a paper towel and microwave on high until the butter melts, about 30 to 45 seconds. Remove and whisk to mix well. Pour mixture over steaks turning to coat well.

Turn on a gas grill to medium high. Place steaks on a hot grill, and cook 4 to 6 minutes (depending on doneness preference). Spread any remaining butter mixture on top of steaks while grilling. (Caution: Watch for flare-ups.)

Turn steaks, and continue grilling for 4 to 6 minutes for medium rare, or to personal preference. Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.

Per serving: 290 calories (56 percent from fat), 17.5 g fat (9 g saturated), 113 mg cholesterol, 29 g protein, 2.5 g carbohydrates, 0 fiber, 246 mg sodium.
