Inspector’s notes: “Roach activity present as evidenced by approximately 10-plus live roaches found in counter in bar area, 15-plus live roaches found on gaskets in reach-in cooler, 20-plus live roaches located on shelves.” Issued an emergency order to temporarily close.
Chicken Kitchen, 5415 N. University Dr., Lauderhill. Inspected on May 19; eight violations, including two high-priority. Inspector’s notes: “Observed a can of roach spray on a shelf. Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found: 2 on the floor behind the front counter, 1 in the cabinet under the cash register, 5 in a cabinet by a drain ... 2 on a prep counter ... 2 under a reach-in cooler ... 2 on the floor ... 1 on a wall ... 2 on the floor.” Issued an emergency order to close; reopened on same day after a follow-up inspection.
