While it's fun being girly, there are some aspects that are less appealing -- like reapplying makeup throughout the day. Once you've gone to the trouble of putting all the stuff on, you'd like it to stay put, right?

Mascara and some foundations can go the distance, while lipstick is usually the biggest offender. After eating or chatting, it's likely you need another coat.

That's why I'm always on the lookout for long-lasting lip products.

Glad I happened upon Rimmel's new Lasting Finish Kiss & Stay. It's two sided -- on one end, there's the dominant color with staying power (Step 1), the other end contains the pearly gloss to seal it all in (Step 2). Tip: Wait at least a minute for the base coat to dry before applying the sparkle.

Out of the 12 colors, I jibed with the Red Alert, which actually has pretty brown undertones. I also jibed with the fact that unlike many extended-stay lip smackers, this one didn't feel sticky at all.
