Gaga For . . . Switchflops

Oh, too cute.

Flip flops with interchangeable straps.

They're called Switchflops, invented by New Yorker Lindsay Phillips. Her motto for the shoes -- that have unlimited possibilities, color and patternwise -- is ``Change your look, not your sole.''

I first discovered them for me -- since flip-flops are part of my daily uniform (when I get home from work). Then one day, I noticed they popped up for kids.

While I'm not a big proponent of thong-type shoes for the park, they make perfect sense for the pool or beach.

There are three shoe styles and 12 patterns of straps, including peace signs, polka dots and flowers.

Scarlett thinks she has three different pairs of shoes.

Brilliant.

Switchflops: $30-$35 for the shoes, $10 for each additional strap at switchflops.com; Amy's Hallmark, South Miami; Footprints, Miami; Angelic Accents, Plantation.
