Heavy storms are rolling across Miami-Dade County Friday, making the morning commute a mess.
More than a dozen crashes and some flooding are reported across the county.
"Not a pretty picture," CBS4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez said on Twitter.
The heaviest rains are reported in West Miami-Dade including Hialeah, Doral, Sweetwater, Westchester, as well as Coral Gables and Key Biscayne.
Rain chance is 50 percent for the rest of the day, according to the National Weather Service. Wind could gust as high as 24 mph.
"The roads are drenched and dangerous," she said.
Early crashes are tying up traffic on State Road 826 at 836, the I-95 express lanes near Northwest 79th Street, I-95 at State Road 112 and Kendall Drive at Southwest 117th Avenue.
Flooding also is reported in both directions of the Gratigny Expressway.
A pedestrian was killed overnight on I-195 at North Miami Avenue, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The vehicle, which has not been identified, did not stop, Trooper Pedro Reinoso said.
Gonzalez said the roughest weather should be gone by afternoon. By Saturday night, drier air and cooler temperatures will move in, with lows in the mid-60s.
