Gov. Scott reaches out to Obama to help avoid crippling strike at ports

Less than two days before the nation’s longshoremen walk off the job over a pay dispute, Florida Gov. Rick Scott gathered with the state’s port directors and sent a message to the president to use his authority to avert a work stoppage.
