Just in time for our return to the daily grind, South Florida returns to warmth.
But fog has tagged itself along, resulting in lane closures and limited visibility for commuters this Tuesday morning.
Florida Highway Patrol has closed US 27 from South Bay to Broward County at Interstate 75, since 1:43 a.m., due to fog.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service say both Palm Beach and Broward counties are under a dense fog advisory until 10 a.m., today. They caution that in some instances, visibility can change very rapidly to a quarter of a mile or less.
Never miss a local story.
Once the fog burns off, the high for Palm Beach County is expected to be 77 with a low of 59 degrees. By tomorrow it'll clear up to partly sunny skies with a high of 78 and a low of 62 degrees.
Although the Treasure Coast is not under an advisory, forecasters say to be careful today because patches of fog may develop. Otherwise, the day will have a high of 76 and a low of 55 degrees.
Tomorrow, the Treasure Coast will see a high of 75 and a low 59 degrees.
