Former Sen. Bob Graham of Florida will participate in the presidential delegation to attend the state funeral for former Spanish Prime Minister Adolfo Suarez Gonzalez, who died this week at age 81, the White House announced.

Graham, a Democrat who was governor of Florida before being a U.S. senator, will be joined by Ray Mabus, secretary of the U.S. Navy, and James Costos, U.S. ambassador to Spain. Adolfo Suarez was Spain’s first elected prime minister after the Franco dictatorship. The funeral is scheduled for Monday.
