Flowery Branch, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Fifth round draft pick Ricardo Allen was among the final roster cuts made by the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday.
Allen, a cornerback out of Purdue, was selected 147th overall by the Falcons in May but failed to impress enough to make the final roster. He was one of two 2014 draft picks left off the final roster, with seventh round linebacker Yawin Smallwood getting released on Friday.
Also waived were wide receivers Jeremy Ebert and Bernard Reedy, tight end Mickey Shuler, guard Harland Gunn, tackle Terren Jones, defensive tackle Travian Robinson and linebacker Jacques Smith.
Atlanta also reached an injury settlement with wide receiver Geraldo Boldewijn.
