Alameda, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Raiders placed cornerback D.J. Hayden on the reserve/physically unable to perform list Tuesday.

Hayden will be out for at least the first six weeks of the regular season as a result. The Houston product is dealing with a foot injury.

Oakland's first-round draft pick in 2013 was limited to eight games last season due to injury.

The Raiders also released veteran quarterback Trent Edwards; waived wide receiver Juron Criner; waived/injured safety Larry Asante, wide receiver Greg Jenkins and running back Kory Sheets; waived/failed physical guard Lucas Nix; and placed tight end Nick Kasa on injured reserve.
