Lake Forest, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Former Pro Bowl safety Adrian Wilson was among the early cuts Sunday by the Chicago Bears.

Wilson signed with Chicago in June after missing all of last season with New England because of a torn Achilles' tendon. He played his first 12 years with Arizona and was a five-time Pro Bowl selection during his tenure with the Cardinals.

The Bears also released defensive tackle Nate Collins and offensive lineman Dylan Gandy on Sunday, and waived running back Michael Ford, offensive tackle Joe Long, wide receivers Greg Herd and Kofi Hughes, and cornerbacks Derricus Purdy and Peyton Thompson.

Collins suffered a torn ACL last October after playing 14 games with two starts for the Bears the past two seasons, while Ford appeared in 12 games as a rookie in 2013.
