Lions sign CB Florence

Allen Park, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Detroit Lions signed cornerback Drayton Florence on Thursday.

Florence is back for a second stint with Detroit, as he signed with the team in 2012 and played the first eight games that season before missing the final eight games with a broken forearm.

The 33-year-old spent last season with Carolina and posted 26 tackles, nine passes defensed and two interceptions in 14 games.

Over 157 games in 11 seasons in the NFL, the Tuskegee product has totaled 486 tackles, 95 passes defensed and 20 interceptions, three of which he returned for touchdowns.
