Napa, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Oakland Raiders tight end David Ausberry will have knee surgery and will miss the preseason opener Friday.
"He may be out for a little while," Raiders coach Dennis Allen said following practice Tuesday. "We should be able to get him back some point in time. We'll have to evaluate that as we go along."
Ausberry missed the entire 2013 season due to a shoulder injury. He played in a total of 28 games between the 2011-12 seasons and had nine receptions for 106 yards, but was at the top of the team's depth chart after a week of training camp.
