Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - The Toronto Raptors made it official with Brazilian center Lucas "Bebe" Nogueira and point guard Will Cherry on Sunday.
Per team policy, contract details were not disclosed.
Nogueira, 22, was drafted 16th overall in 2013 by Boston and traded on draft night to the Atlanta Hawks. He spent all of last season playing for Asefa Estudiantes of the Liga ACB, where he averaged 6.3 points and 4.1 boards in his third season with the club.
Nogueira was traded to Toronto along with Lou Williams in exchange for John Salmons and a future draft pick on June 30. He played with the Raptors in the Las Vegas Summer League and put up 5.0 points and 5.8 rebounds in five games.
Cherry played with Cleveland in the Summer League and was overshadowed by high profile youngsters Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett, but more than held his own. He scored 12.8 points per game on 52.1 percent shooting in five games.
A four-year player out of Montana, Cherry went undrafted in 2013 and played for the D-League's Canton Charge last season.
