Mankato, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Vikings placed cornerback Captain Munnerlyn on the physically unable to perform list on Friday.
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said Friday that Munnerlyn has a "slight" hamstring injury, but added that the free agent from Carolina will be "fine."
Munnerlyn signed a reported three-year deal in the offseason after playing five seasons with the Panthers.
The Vikings also put tight end Chase Ford on the PUP list after he underwent surgery for a stress fracture in his foot, while safety Andrew Sendejo was also placed on the list because of an ankle injury.
Players can be activated off the PUP list at any time during training camp or the preseason. If a player is on the PUP list to start the regular season, he must miss the first six weeks.
