Owings Mills, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - The Baltimore Ravens signed free safety Will Hill on Friday.
Hill, 24, joins the Ravens after being waived by the New York Giants last month following his third violation of the NFL's substance-abuse policy. Hill must sit out the first six games of the season because of his latest infraction.
The Florida product also received a four-game ban in 2012, and missed the first four games last season. He started 10 of the remaining 12 games last year for the Giants, registering 77 tackles and two interceptions.
The news of Hill's signing comes on the heels of cornerback Aaron Ross being lost for the season with a torn Achilles.
